As Executive Director, Mr. Gross will be responsible for day-to-day management of the organization, guiding the growing advocacy coalition’s work in Washington and across the United States to educate the public on the importance of effective American engagement in the world and to rally support for U.S. international development and diplomacy.
On announcing the news, USGLC President and CEO Liz Schrayer stated:
The USGLC is thrilled to welcome Jason home after nearly a decade away building an impressive career on Capitol Hill. There isn’t a better leader and partner to help steer the efforts of our growing coalition at this critical time. As our first full-time staffer and managing director, Jason helped me lay the groundwork for what the USGLC is today and he has the exact right mix of strategic vision and skill that is needed to strengthen us into the future.
During his earlier days at the USGLC, Mr. Gross played an essential role shaping the organization, recruiting the original coalition members, building bipartisan support on Capitol Hill, and expanding the USGLC’s first efforts in the states.
On accepting the position, Mr. Gross shared:
I couldn’t be more thrilled to rejoin the ranks of the USGLC and help lead the growing coalition and staff into the future. Early on in my career, I discovered my deep passion for how American global leadership impacts us here at home and makes a difference around the world. Since my first days at the USGLC nearly a decade ago, I’ve watched the coalition grow in influence and I look forward to being part of the talented team.
Mr. Gross will start with the USGLC on January 11, 2016. Before first working with the USGLC, Gross had worked for the House International Affairs Committee and Representative Sam Gejdenson.
