With a strong and growing coalition in Ohio for close to a decade, the USGLC works to educate and engage policymakers and community leaders on why investments in development and diplomacy help keep America safe and strengthen Ohio’s economy.
The USGLC’s Ohio Advisory Committee brings together more than 200 business, faith, non-profit, and political leaders who understand how American global leadership matters for Ohio. We’re also proud of Ohio’s Veterans for Smart Power – part of a nationwide network of 30,000 veterans.
In 2023, Ohio exported
$58.8 billion
in goods to foreign markets.
In Ohio,
1,401,200 jobs (19.60%)
are supported by trade.
In 2022-2023,
34,204 students
in Ohio studied abroad.
This month, in celebration of Black History Month, we are shining a spotlight on two of our Advisory Committee members, the impactful work they are carrying out in their communities, and why leading globally matters locally.
