Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) announced that former Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI), who retired from Congress on June 1, 2023, has joined the USGLC National Advisory Council. Rep. Cicilline – who served on the Foreign Affairs Committee for over a decade and co-founded the bipartisan House Diplomacy Caucus – joins other trusted voices and experts on foreign policy, including past Cabinet Secretaries Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates, and Tom Ridge, former Senate Majority Leaders Bill Frist and Tom Daschle and many other legislators. Members of the National Advisory Council provide strategic counsel to the USGLC on its efforts to advocate for America’s global leadership and a strong U.S. International Affairs Budget.

“As a former member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Cicilline brings unique insights into some of the world’s most pressing crises. In this role, he led numerous Congressional delegations to some of the most complex places in the world and will bring his powerful and persuasive voice in support of America’s leadership abroad.
