Devonte serves as Outreach Manager for the Northeast Region of the USGLC. Prior to joining, Devonte worked at the Office of U.S. Representative Jeff Jackson of North Carolina, where he served as Senior Director of Community Engagement. Previously, he worked as Civic Engagement Field Liaison for Representative Deborah Ross also of North Carolina (and former USGLC State Advisory Committee Member). In 2019, Devonte was appointed by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper to chair the Youth Engagement Committee of the State Commission on Community Service. Devonte served as President of the Young Democrats of North Carolina and taught social studies in middle school. Devonte earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UNC Greensboro and dual Master’s degrees in Divinity and Public Administration from Liberty University.
