• In 2022, 5,475 companies exported goods from Connecticut of which 88% were small- and medium-sized enterprises. In 2021, 112,100 people were employed by affiliates of companies at least 50% foreign-owned.^3,4

• Agricultural exports are important to Connecticut's economy, totaling $285.8 million in 2022, according to the USDA.⁶
• Since 2014, the U.S. Export-Import Bank has financed $1 billion in exports from 55 companies in Connecticut.⁷

• From 2022-2023, 16,727 international students were enrolled in Connecticut colleges and universities and contributed $698 million to the Connecticut economy.¹⁰

• Since 1961, 3,606 Peace Corps volunteers from Connecticut have served in dozens of countries overseas.¹¹
