Senator John McCain

Elected to the Senate in 1986, Senator John McCain is one of America’s most respected voices on foreign policy and a steadfast champion for America’s global engagement. Senator McCain is a member and former Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee and also serves on the Foreign Relations and Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committees. Prior to his election to the Senate, McCain served four years in the House of Representatives. The son and grandson of four-star Admirals, McCain served as a naval aviator during the Vietnam War, during which time he spent nearly six years as a prisoner war. His naval honors include the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Shelly Esque oversees professionals in more than 35 countries working to enhance Intel’s reputation as the world’s leading technology brand and Corporate Citizen. She is the winner of many awards, including the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy Chairman’s Award for Intel® Teach, a program that has trained more than 10 million teachers around the world. She has represented Intel at the Clinton Global Initiative, the World Economic Forum, World Bank, and UNESCO education forums, as well as international corporate responsibility conferences.

Michael M. Crow

President, Arizona State University

Michael M. Crow is an academic leader and educator, designer of knowledge enterprises, and science and technology policy scholar. He has been the sixteenth president of Arizona State University since July, 2002. He is guiding the transformation of ASU into one of the nation’s leading public metropolitan research universities, an institution that combines the highest levels of academic excellence, inclusiveness to a broad demographic, and maximum societal impact—a model he designed known as the “New American University.” Under his leadership ASU has established major interdisciplinary research initiatives such as the Biodesign Institute, Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS), and more than a dozen new transdisciplinary schools, and witnessed an unprecedented academic infrastructure expansion, quadrupling of research expenditures, and attainment of record levels of diversity in the student body.

Mark Feierstein

Associate Administrator, USAID

Mark Feierstein is serving as the associate administrator at the U.S. Agency for International Development, fulfilling the duties of the deputy administrator. He is also the assistant administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean. He previously served as principal and vice president at the international polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner. He has overseen public opinion research in over 30 countries, gaining insights into the views of citizens around the world on a range of topics.

Representative Jim Kolbe

Former Representative Kolbe (R-AZ) is a Senior Transatlantic Fellow at the German Marshall Fund and a senior advisor and strategic consultant to Kissinger McLarty Associates. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1985-2007, where he chaired the House State-Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee and was a leader on many important international affairs issues, including trade and export promotion and foreign assistance reform.
