Senator Gardner was elected to the Senate in 2014 and is a strong proponent of America’s global engagement. He serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and is Chairman of the Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy. Prior to the Senate, he served two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. A lawyer by trade, he began his career in public service in the Colorado House of Representatives in 2005, where he served as the Minority Whip and became known for his expertise in natural resource and agriculture policy. Senator Gardner lives in Yuma, CO with his wife and three children.
General Mattis served as Commander of U.S. Central Command from 2010-2013, where he oversaw U.S. military operations in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. Throughout his 40-year career with the Marine Corps, he served in a number of leadership roles, including Commander of Marine I Expeditionary Forces, U.S. Joint Forces Command, and Supreme Allied Commander Transformation. General Mattis is an Annenberg Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution and is a member of USGLC’s National Security Advisory Council.
Ambassador Hill is Dean of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, a position he has held since 2010. He is a former career diplomat, a four-time ambassador, nominated by three presidents. His last post was as Ambassador to Iraq from April 2009 until August 2010. Prior to Iraq, he served as Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 2005-2009 during which he was also the head of the U.S. delegation to the Six Party Talks on the North Korean nuclear issue.
Kathleen Troia “KT” McFarland is a Fox News National Security Analyst and host of FoxNews.com’s “DefCon 3.” She served in national security posts in the Nixon, Ford, and Reagan administrations. She was an aide to Dr. Henry Kissinger at the White House, and wrote Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger’s groundbreaking “Principles of War” speech in 1984. Ms. McFarland received the Defense Department’s highest civilian award for her work in the Reagan administration.
