New Leadership Named for Communications and Field Operations

WASHINGTON, DC— The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition announced today that Kate Bunting has been named its new Managing Director.  Bunting will manage the USGLC’s day-to-day communications, field, policy, and program operations.

The USGLC also announced Richard Parker as the new Communications Director and Mark Moskowitz as the new Field Director.

“We are so fortunate to have Kate and this energetic new team join us at the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition,” said USGLC Executive Director Liz Schrayer.   “Their collective experience will allow the USGLC to make an even greater impact to ensure Americans are educated about the importance of development and diplomacy and that these tools are supported with a robust international affairs budget.”

Bunting was one of USGLC’s founders and served as a board member from 1997 to 2000.  She most recently served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for CARE and had several policy and advocacy roles with the organization over a 17-year period.  Prior to joining CARE, she served on Capitol Hill as a staff assistant on the House Select Committee on Children, Youth and Families.  She holds a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs and Foreign Policy from American University and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Clemson University.

“I have always believed in the mission of the USGLC, and it is a privilege to join the organization as Managing Director,” said Kate Bunting.  “The strength of the USGLC is its diverse membership of organizations across the country that care about international affairs and our civilian-led tools of development and diplomacy.  I look forward to working with them to both educate and engage the American public.”

Richard Parker joined the USGLC in May as Communications Director.  He most recently served as the Director of Communications at the Peace Corps.

Mark Moskowitz joins the USGLC as Field Director. Prior to joining the USGLC, he served as Southeast Regional Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), based in Atlanta.
