Virtual Town Hall | Fighting Fentanyl: How Local Mayors Can Solve a Global Crises
Description:
Fentanyl overdoses have tragically become the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-49 for the last five years. From precursor chemicals originating in China, to production and narco-traffickers in Mexico, to demand for drugs on American streets, the spread of fentanyl is a global challenge that can only be solved through whole-of-government and whole-of-society solutions. Join Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther for a conversation hosted in partnership with the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) and the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) for a discussion on how local governments, in coordination with federal agencies can help curb the opioid crisis in the United states and around the world.
