Binta joins the USGLC after living and working across Africa, most recently serving as the Regional Advocacy Lead for the World Food Program in Senegal. Binta has developed advocacy strategies for the Bill and Melinda Gates, Hewlett, and Ford Foundations. Prior to her move to West Africa, Binta implemented public health programs with PSI in Washington D.C. Binta briefly worked in the film industry, spending three years between Los Angeles and New York City. A third culture kid raised between Sierra Leone, Alabama, Texas, and Colorado, Binta earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master’s in Development Administration and Planning from University College London.
