This past weekend, Americans remembered and honored the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Today, however, marks another, often less-recognized, opportunity to celebrate another armed force that supports American national security and values.

Walmart’s Global Women’s Economic Empowerment Initiative seeks to empower women through job training and education, support gender diversity among its major suppliers, and increase sourcing for the company from women-owned businesses. This project has provided women from Bangladesh to Brazil with the training and opportunity necessary to expand their careers and build better lives.
